Leapfrog Sports work with a number of schools and nurseries to offer regular sessions with the focus on a different sport each time. This includes sessions during normal school/nursery hours, wrap around care sessions, lunch breaks and after school clubs, catering for children in Early Years Foundation Stages (from age 2) to Key Stage 1. This gives children an opportunity to take part and learn about a wide variety of sports and help to develop a healthy lifestyle.
One-off sessions to compliment a sporting event going on at the time, for example Wimbledon or the Olympic Games are also popular.

The sessions are fun and packed full of activities, using specialist equipment suited to the age groups, which helps to build the fundamental skills of Co-ordination, Balance and Agility. All the activities and games are adaptable for all abilities and for any special needs so everyone can take part.

Our sessions will also help you to meet EYFS and OFSTED requirements and for those who have regular sessions at the end of the year, we provide a report to show the skills covered and the progress made by the group.

These sessions are a great way to use your Sports Premium effectively by introducing children to a huge variety of different sports!

All of our coaches are First Aid trained, Enhanced DBS checked and have Safeguarding qualifications.

We began using Leapfrog Sports in February 2016 within our wrap around care in the afternoon for our nursery children and now for our afterschool clubs. The sessions have proved very popular with the children and our families. They are well organised, fun and interactive.

Our Leapfrog classes are stimulating, fun and exciting. All the children are engaged throughout. The classes bring out the children’s characteristics and independence. The coach has built firm bonds with children and staff and children are always talking about her at home. They always go that extra mile to make sure everyone is involved and have made a fabulous effort when being involved with our graduation ceremony which gave a lovely personal touch.
